We created Providence Property Management as a solution to the myriad condo owners in Charlotte looking to sell their properties, but got stuck with no buyer instead (some of us included, which is why we’re so passionate about it). The properties of Uptown Charlotte are beautiful and ideally located, but as the market tanked and few buyers emerged, owners realized something had to be done to cover the mortgage and protect the investment. Sensing an opportunity, we decided to focus our business on the Uptown Charlotte area so we could better serve the increasing number of our clients in this position. As a result, we offer tenants some of the most exclusive apartments in Uptown Charlotte at the best rates.
Our subsequent success in this effort has enabled us to expand the services that our Uptown Charlotte property management company can offer. We now include corporate housing and real estate training without compromising our core mission of being the best, most trusted name in Charlotte property management.
As an owner who’d prefer to sell, the idea of renting the property is not ideal. The process is emotionally draining and time-intensive. Not to mention that without the right relationships, finding a qualified renter is not at all easy. You hardly want just anyone off of Craigslist to live in your valuable investment. At Providence, we believe there’s a better way forward. We believe in the value of Charlotte, and that as the economy resets, we can work together to preserve and increase the value of your investment. When you decide it’s time to sell, we can help make that process easier and less costly, too.
If you would like to hear our rent-versus-sell value proposition, just give us a call or send us a quick email. We would be happy to walk you through our strategic approach.
Trent is a homeowner in uptown Charlotte and is the founder and CEO of Providence Property Management. Trent, like so many others, purchased his condo in 2007 at what he likes to refer to as the “peak” of the market. He has since educated himself and others as to the benefits and pitfalls of homeownership and investing in real estate.
Having graduated from Duke University with a degree in Electrical Engineering and a minor in Economics, Trent worked for several years in the investment banking world. He became actively involved in the real estate industry in 2008 when he started Providence Property Management in an effort to assist homeowners like himself in protecting the value of their investment throughout the decline in the housing market. Trent handled all aspects of the business for several months prior to partnering with Midtown Realty in 2009, and he remains intimately involved in the operations of the business.
By partnering with Midtown Realty, Providence is able to provide its clients with several options when it comes to their real estate investments, whether they choose to rent, sell or buy additional properties. Trent believes that a property management firm should do more than simply find tenants and fix leaks – a true property manager should assist their client in making decisions about how best to handle the clients’ real estate properties, and that is what he hopes to do at Providence.
On a daily basis, Trent focuses on marketing and new business strategy as well as maintaining relationships with Providence’s various business partners.
